We call it fun fishing mainly because we cannot think of any better description.Many people come to the island of Ibiza thinking they can pop out on a boat and catch a 400lb Tuna,after all they have seen the pictures on the internet it must be easy.The reality is that the seas around Ibiza are no different to the seas anywhere else in the world,they have been and still are being raped by commercial operations.The bulk of the photos on the internet are at least 15yrs old and the unsuspecting could be taken out for the day trolling lures for miles with the distinct likelihood of never seeing a fish.In the summer months the best bet is to fish bait on the drift over a reef.This is what we do,whilst no charter operator can gaurantee fish this type of fishing is a fair bet and our experience of the last two years has been that it can be a very productive style of fishing suitable for the novice and experienced angler alike.Many times in the summer of 2010 anglers boated in excess of ten fish each on a three hour trip,some had many more,in fact the most successful were youngsters and the normally non fishing wives of experienced anglers ( and we now know why ).
